17 Flats

Planning permission has been granted for a large multi-unit apartment scheme creating 17 new build flats on an irregular site.

The irregular shape led to a design which breaks the form of the building into two rectangular elements connected by a central access core over four storeys. The building’s form is also site-specific with heights designed to tie in visually with the neighbouring buildings and the setback mansard style roof forms, intended as a reinterpretation of a traditional feature found within the local context.

Through discussion with the Local Authority we were able to achieve a car free development with no on-site parking.
